Heading to the yakima this weekend trying to get on some ducks with dad! Anybody having much luck with this cold front?
-
Thanks! I think we heading up around granger/sunnyside area!
-
Been steady year, cant complain. Guaranteed to see birds. Lot of people depending on what area you are heading to
-
Hopefully the roads won't be iced over by the freezing rain. With the small water being frozen up the places that do have open water have lots of competition. Only suggestion I have is get wherever you are going early. Like 2am. If you want to break some ice , blinds 12-13-14 have been shooting ducks at the unnamed spot.

There are birds but they are pretty stale and I do not feel like sleeping in the truck just to go break ice and hunt in crappy conditions. Taking this weekend off.
-
Anyone end up going out today? We actually ended up going around wapato
-
Few birds, actually had goose hunt this morning. Wasnt around the water too much. I know there is ice in places, but lot of rain last 2 days with warmer temps. So if you were in the right spot, probably worked out for you.

I'm assuming field hunting? How'd you guys do? Actually saw quite a few geese on a field, I'd like to ask the farmer if he'd mind us hunting there haha. I've always wanted to field hunt for geese!

Yes field, and we shot 15. This time of year alot of our fields are doin really well. Lot of geese around this year as well. Lot of the time that works, just finding out who has the field is the biggest battle normally. I can pm you maybe get you out on some hunts. You from around here?

See a few good fields In the Cowiche area had tons of geese in them and a few in lower valley im looking for a few bird hunting partners to show me the ropes.

The valley is pretty slow as usual for this time of the year. Most refuges are unfrozen with rain rain rain plenty of water an plenty of spend the night hunters. Fields are hit and miss for geese do to the weather and clear warm nights. The few "northeners" we have here right now have grouped up with the locals and fly from point A to point B. We NEED SNOWY NEW BIRDS FOR XMAS SANTA :hello:
