Woodchuck.  I see that photo and I think to myself, I have walked by there a dozen times, and my wife killed her first elk (branched bull) just around the corner from there, probably less than 100 yards from where that bull was standing.  We were Walking the road (gated at the time)

Think this road hunter is actually looking for a "hit and run" - especially if there are bigger road hunters in the area.

That reminds me of a story.  I came bombing around a corner over in Idaho and almost ran smack into a bison.   He was an escapee from the Kalispell indian tribe over there.   Puckered me up.   You think hitting a deer is a problem. :chuckle:   I later found out it would have been legal for me to harvest him  :dunno:

2 days after I had already shot my buck for the season this guy was standing in the road in the middle of that major down pour we were having during modern. He didn't even care i was there. So I got out and watched him for about 30 min, got completely soaked but thats okay. I was just more than happy to see him out and about. To top it off just look at his mass!! I'll be looking for him next year 👍🏼👍🏼

I don't know how many times I had to stop for turkey blocking the darned roads on my moose hunt last fall in 124.  I finally got sick of it and bought a tag.  Killed one the next morning.  Ate it on Thanksgiving.  It was delicious.  You all need to just start shooting those pests.

Whats with all the critters having collars? Game department must drop all there problem animals in that area  :dunno:
I'm not sure, this camera is less than two miles from a bunch of older houses and there's a new development going in too. But I've had a camera in this area for 3 years and always lots of predators and collars.

Looks like you picked a good day to go up.  We were up there about two weeks ago.   You should give the incline a go if you're still out here..

It was just a quick trip for a reunion with my Air Force buddies. We did the Peak, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. That was all we had time for between visits. Love that country and really miss it.

We were out cougar hunting with the hounds in Idaho, there was a female and three yearlings almost as big as her right in the middle of the road!  :chuckle:

Dogs exploded when i pulled up! Two days later we killed a nice tom about 3 miles from that spot.
