I poached it out of the times. First thing that came to mind was the Barbour thread. It has something to do with the port of Tacoma being backed up. Didn't read the article. Those were good apples being exported but they were rotting on ship I guess, or maybe couldn't get to the ship...... Is there a strike going on? not sure what the back up is. :dunno:
-
Looks like that "north central" guides operation :chuckle:
-
Holy Guacamole!!!! WOW!
Can you imagine what that would bring in if you dumped it out somewheres up around Metalline?!?!
-
Probably every Grizz in the Selkirk :chuckle:
-
Wow that's still going to be there in the spring with quite a smell I bet. :dunno:
Is it near where water foul will see it? :chuckle:

Good thing it looks like a road runs right next to it, it would hurt to think you packed all those in.

Oh no you're giving bait hunters a bad name! oh my gosh how could you hunt over something like that you're so lazy get out and go walk far into the woodz!
-

This is a common site in the area west of Brewster in an effort to help feed the deer after the fire. The record apple crop means more supply than demand, at times the quality has caused diversion as well, also many of the lower grades having no market. The ports being shut down has only caused more issues and hardships to the growers, it's shaping up to be a tough year.

Good way to kill some ungulates.

Looks like an economic disaster, paid to pick, haul, sort, pack and dispose. Most of that would make its way back to the grower. All of us pay more for produce with this kind of planning. Record prices in the store with growers having a tough time.
-
It's a decent pile

That is a good study on the baiting topic. Good info in that study that can be related to this state.

To answer your question Bone, the union at the ports are purposely slowing down in an attempt to get more in a contract. Many small businesses are going to get hurt very bad because of this.
It isn't just apples that are going bad.
-
:yeah:
Its because of the longshoreman slowdown.
-
Lovely. I figured as much. What a waste.
