Title: just a few x-mas presents ive made

so for christmas i am making some duck call tree ordaments to give to my grandparents and what not and figured i would share cuz they turned out so well, keep in mind i havent cut off the excess wood yet.
(by the way none of these are for u elliott so dont get excited)

 :chuckle:im not in woodshop anymore, graduated 2 years ago i just used my leth that i have.   lol i was too busy making the most elaberate desk/night stand i could design in woodshop, :chuckle:

i graduated a few years back as well. thats cool you have a lathe to do that sort of stuff on. Shoot in my woodshop class i made some sweet cribbage boards, chess boards, boxes and all sorts of stuff, i got really good at going to the donut shop during class as well  :P

We actually bought a chunk of Cocabola to try and turn duck calls with way back in 1991.  Turning them was easy, it was trying to build the jig to drill them out that was tough.  Ended up with some cool key chains...

drilling out the barrell is easyer then turning it, you just use the drill press before you start turning then mount it on a mandrel. the tone board is the hard part
