I've had the pass for several years, always with the multi season so lots of time spent deer hunting. Seems to me the deer population is getting worse, this year during archery, late rifle and late muzzy I seen a total of 2 bucks and 15 to 20 does. The biggest buck was a forkie. Talking with friends that also hunt the property, they also say it was pretty bad this year. Just curios what those who buy the pass think?

Haven't seen much up moving there this year. There's sign all over, scrapes and scat, but darned if I could even find a doe. Missed a 2x last year on the boundary with the sections Manke owns and my dad got a nice forky last year just past camp 1. But not much this year, even the log crews have not been seeing much. Now I did see some pics at Big Js in Orting of a couple nice ones taken during late buck.
It was poor enough there that I have been sticking to the Eatonville side the last week. Seeing lots of does and three little button head bucks. Lots of elk running all over too

I have a good friend who's been logging for many years, he's been in a walk in unit for the past few weeks, hasn't seen any bucks lately in the walk in area. Has seen a couple decent bucks in a different area but not much, he's in the woods close to 6 days a week.

Or it could be that your a piss poor blacktail hunter :dunno: however they do need to stop spraying and start killing some damn predators.... and cut back on the amount of permits sold, there are way to many fir all areas and thats fact  but i am still betting that your a piss poor blacktail Hunter..

:tung: you just can't stand how I pass up dinks that you shoot! But seriously, the day they passed no hounds or bait, was a bad day for deer.

got that right, all areas are hurting this year, I have a couple spots that I can see deer at any day of the week, well not anymore, but it holds plenty of cats and bear... sad thing its only going to get worse... this years weather is not the best either, extended bucks weather was terrible, well for deer hunting anyways... you do need to find a couple different spots, if I still bought the pass I would show you... but you could just follow my cousin..lol.. I need to take a pic of the bucks my family has shot over the years up in that neck of the woods... sorry getting way off topic here..

gotten progressively worse the last three years. harvest total was 43 bucks for the year those are not great odds. i sure am getting lots of cougar pics on my trail cameras up there.

I spend a lot of time up there. Saw a handful of nice 3 and 4pt bucks in the summer. Come season they dissapeared. Late buck passed on 3 smaller for keys and had a nice shooter 3x3 at 10yds but it was heading right at dad and I had shot an elk few days prior. Should have shot cause he never saw it walk by at 20yds. Outside of the rut it was tough hunting. See plenty of does but had a hard time finding mature bucks. I have 6 cams year round up there for the last few years. I have yet to see a cougar but have lots of bobcat pics and have seen plenty with my own eyes. The bobcats are out of control. I bet they really fatten up when the fawns drop.

In one day late muzzy last year I saw in a walk in unit, 2 coyote's, one cougar and a bobcat. Predators I think are the main problem.
-
I'll be spending a bit of time in several spots working on predators once I get the rifle dialed in this week. Luckily it's less than 10 minutes from the door to the gate. I did see an otter cross the road two weeks ago which was interesting.

Didn't see much of anything up there this year. 4 nice bulls and a handful of does. If anyone would like a partner to go cougar or bobcat hunting let me know.

Nice deer, I bet you voted for a good rating!!

Lol thanks man. Ya I wouldn't know what to compare this year too it's my first year getting the permit. But I saw a ton of game in my area. One huge buck before season started to.
