I am interested to know how many folks on this site know the names and contact information for their State legislators? For those that know them, how many have contacted their legislators within the last 12 months to share their concerns about the future of our hunting heritage? :dunno:
-
I think I'm on the block list for my reps. One is the local head honcho fire fighter and I have a feeling the trucks will be out of gas or won't start if my house ever catches. :chuckle:
-
I contact elected officials on a regular basis. Both federal and state levels hear from me on other issues as well. Not just gun issues. I definitely get some interesting replys from Patty Murray and Maria Cantrell. They are both die hard liberals always on the wrong side of important issues. I don,t just contact my elected officials in my district. I also let the republican leaders hear from me on both a state level and federal level. I do think it matters that elected officials hear from the voters. I have been active in this regard for several years now.
-
Yes, and yes.
-
Facebook friends so yes I know who he is. He actually asks my opinion on things too. I am Facebook friends with my county commissioner also. They almost all have Facebook pages and it is an easy way to get to know them.

cathy mcmores rodgers is one I have contacted several times on gun issues.
been wanting to contact her on land issues here too soon.

shrug so! shes still part of the legislative branch the house and the senate!

This is so far a pretty short list of folks who are in contact with their legislators or Congressional delegation. :hello:
-
I do and I have.......unfortunately she seems to be in it for her career, and votes right but never takes up the fight.......I did not vote for her last time as well as many others over here who feel exactly as I do. She has lost favor with many folks up here who have supported her in the past.

Needs updated im sure but this if from above on this forum
Writing letters, sending faxes, or sending email to Commissioners and Legislators get's their attention. They need to hear from the public and especially from sports folks so they know how we feel about important issues. (if any info is missing please post in this topic or message bearpaw)

csaaphill: good job, nice contact info. Sending email to elected officials is definitely a good thing.

:hello:

:hello:
:sry: :chuckle:
just knew it was there so used it didnt mean nothing honest :chuckle:

I talking to the 15 area Spokane,Stevens, Ferry, Pend'Oreille, and Whitman County legislators on a fairly frequent basis and most of them know me by name, but with that said 12 of the 15 already agree with me. The remaining 3 that don't always agree with me haven't been involved with any committees that would impact the hunting /fishing industry over the last several years. However, committee assignments are changing, so these discussions may be more relevant in the coming legislative session.
-
We definitely need updated lists for legislators and the Fish and Wildlife Commission. :yeah:
-
Mine know me intimately! :chuckle:
-
And be sure Jay Inslee is on your email list. He thinks 594 is a good thing. While he is busy attempting to raise taxes by one billion dollars a year he should hear from gun owners who oppose 594. He needs to worry about getting re-elected and not take us for granted.

Definitely, I'll get on this as soon as I get a chance!
