I located a spot today that holds a lot of bucks in the winter. I put a trail cam right off of a main trail over looking cliffs that the deer seem to use often. What are you guys using for bait in the winter? I put out 5 lbs of salt, but am thinking cracked corn for deer and maybe alfalfa pellets for the elk?
I saw 6 different herds today in the general area where I was at and the only animal I saw in the timber was a cougar. I am thinking I would have more success in the open or on a trail this time of year, correct?
Any other good tips you guys may have?
Thanks.

Right now it's all about feed. Salt isn't really in their desires so alfalfa or any food source will work
