Title: buying 556 for brass...
Post by: Hornseeker on December 17, 2014, 01:16:35 PM: So... is there a particular brand of reasonably priced 556 that seems to be better than another for a brass source? I really dont care about the initial load, will probably buy 500 or 1000 and imagine I'll burn that stuff up fairly quickly... well.. and load a bunch of mags and throw them in the safe.

I just ordered 10 boxes of the Hornady Amax for my 6.5 Gren... Life is good... :IBCOOL:

Does it get any better?? Im not too concerned with bullet performance, just want to empty them and reload!

Post by: Hornseeker on December 18, 2014, 08:14:33 AM: Ok...I went ahead and made a buy on some American Eagle 55gr FMJs... I will have 600 pieces of brass if I can find them all... hehehe... should last me a while!
