At least that's what I think it is. I've had this for a while but it's never left the safe. I'm thinking this might be a better coyote/predator round than my 270win bolt action. Will it blow a Bertha sized tunnel in bobcats?
Has anyone used the .243 and know how well the FAL platform will run this round. Right now I have a good mix of hunting ammo from 70grn to 100 to see how it groups. Hopefully I can get out later today or over the weekend to see how it works. Just seems an odd round for a FAL type rifle.

I built one in 243w years ago using a DSArms 20" barrel. It shot better than any of the 308 G1 FAL's I put together back then. If memory serves me, I was using 70gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips and was able to keep 5 rounds inside and inch at 100 yards pretty consistently and cycled perfectly. No longer have the rifle or any of the FAL's I built or purchased, moved on to the AR10 platform where accuracy is much more consistent across the board.
Give it a try you may like it.

I have seen FAL's done in 22-250,.243, .260,.308, 7.65, .338 Federal, and .358.

I will have to give it a try. Luckily I got about 20 boxes of ammo for it when you could still by it at $11.99 a box. It's all mixed weight Federal and Remingtons, but at least I will have casings to reload and an idea of what it likes by the time I get it figured out.
