Title: Kayak fishing steelhead
Post by: broadhead on January 02, 2015, 08:21:58 AM
My friend Todd and I have been hammering the Cowlitz since the beginning of December. Last month we have been putting a lot of chrome (to our surprise) Coho into the cooler. We've been running from Barrier to Blue Creek most times. On the last hole yesterday Todd hooked up to a nice one. This is his second best to date. His last was from the Sol Duc. It just so happens Todd's article about kayak fishing for steelhead was published in the latest Northwest Sportsmen Magazine. If you're into kayak fishing I would recommend reading his article. It's worth noting that if you're new to kayak fishing, the river is not the best place to learn your skills. Best of luck and Happy New Years.
