Post by: MatthewHunter98 on January 05, 2015, 07:03:20 PM
Hello guys, Im really familiar with the Okanagan area because I go deer hunting there, I would like to get to palmer lake late march and due some fun fishing with some of the different species of fish that the lake holds. Is anyone familiar with the lake and the fishing tips that go on there. If anyone knows of carp in this lake whats your guy's way of fishing for them if you all are willing to share some info, any would be great thanks!

I don't recall noticing any carp in Palmer at any time I've fished there. Its been quite a few years though. I have caught S/L bass, trout, kokanee and crappie all in the same day, many on the same lure, shad rap in walleye color. Topwaters and spinnerbaits also caught plenty of bass. Late March seems kinda early for good action on the lake to me. We've always done good later in the spring when the water gets above 55° and always from a boat.  Fun lake to fish though, I need to get back there! Good luck!

Only bank fished it a couple times, never saw or caught any carp. There is a lot of variety in that lake I guess I would not be too surprised if there were carp in there. I keep telling the Mrs. we should retire on the lake, she says OK but I need more $$ to buy a place.
