Went pheasant huntin on sun. Birds held great , 2 limits in 3 hours .

Ive enver hunted birds in a lot of snow.  What are some tips for birds in the snow?  rabbits too maybe?

look for cover and tracks. dress warm but not too warm.

I was out today in sunnyside.... first place I checked didnt see any birds or tracks.. Moved on a bit and came into lots of tracks.  They must have released Wed.  Ran into good numbers of birds.  Was a good day, but could have used another dog for sure.

I did really well over the Holiday weekend. Wild pheasant holding a lot better. Release pheasant and quail - it's almost not even fair. They're holding until you're right on top of them. I'll post pics of a quail I caught with my bare hands. It was so cold, and he was so focused on staying warm he didn't even see me coming.
Chukar have also been pushed down out of the higher elevations. I finally got into two covey this weekend. Overall it's been a terrible Chukar year. I hope this spring treats them better.

too much snow to hunt, or walk, around here.
