I'm interested in 8.37" XVR 460 by S&W Any thoughts comments or concerns will be appreciated.

:) :) very cool, 45 colt , casull and 460 all in one!!!!!!!!!!!how can you go wrong if you have use for a giant revolver.

They're pretty impressive guns. I'm not a big fan of the X-Frame Smiths, but the 460 is a heck of a caliber. The big Smith revolvers feel top heavy and awkward to me. They're excellent, well built guns though. If I were to get another 460, I'd go with the BFR. It's a personal preference thing; I just like single action revolvers better.

what is more costly the 45 or 460? I have a judge and the ammo is about $45 a box. mike w

Any thoughts on holster choice? I'm concerned about the Hi-Viz front sight.

There is a used one for sale on another site if anyone is looking for one with a 8 3/8's barrel.
I've got the 500 in a 4in. and it is the most impractical gun I've ever purchased and easily the most uncomfortable to shoot for any length of time but damn do I love that thing. :tup:

I have the BFR in 7 3/8 inch. Cheaper than the S&W and I'm with yorketransport. I like the looks better myself and I saved nearly $300 over the S&W.
