Title: Pros & Cons S&W460

Post by: yorketransport on January 15, 2015, 08:21:09 PM: They're pretty impressive guns. I'm not a big fan of the X-Frame Smiths, but the 460 is a heck of a caliber. The big Smith revolvers feel top heavy and awkward to me. They're excellent, well built guns though. If I were to get another 460, I'd go with the BFR. It's a personal preference thing; I just like single action revolvers better.

I've got the 500 in a 4in. and it is the most impractical gun I've ever purchased and easily the most uncomfortable to shoot for any length of time but damn do I love that thing. :tup:

Post by: CAMPMEAT on February 17, 2015, 12:47:20 PM: I have the BFR in 7 3/8 inch. Cheaper than the S&W and I'm with yorketransport. I like the looks better myself and I saved nearly $300 over the S&W.
