Title: When is a good time??
Post by: Critter Ritter on January 18, 2015, 09:30:17 PM
Hey Everyone,
I am wanting to go over east and do some shed hunting this year and do some shed hunting. I know some deer are shedding now but not all of them. I want to go over when mostly all the deer have lost there antlers.
Would the 2nd and 3rd week of February be a good time to go? The third week I have a week off and would be going over for a few days and looking around. Could always try and do both weeks,
What do you guys suggest?
Thanks Quincy~~

Lots of blacktail and elk  on the west side should be shed by the 2nd or 3rd week, my suggestion  :chuckle:

Seriously, if your trying to wait for best odds the middle of March 90% of animals will have shed....
