Title: Gallatin Timber Company of NE WA
Post by: GUscottie on January 24, 2015, 07:23:11 PM
Question: Anyone know the rules/regs on this company's property? I see they own large tracts of land in the NE corner and I can't find an owner, a web page, or anything on this lovely website. I'm trying to figure out their rules. I know every timber company is different. Thanks!

Great question. Every time I try to get any info on gallstones or priest river land co. I am only seeing Stimson links. I wonder if it's sister companies. Maybe Stimson can answer your questions or at least point you in the right direction.

Tagging as well

I have contacted Stimson. I did not ask if they were Gallatin as well...I suppose a second email is in order.

Gallatin is not related to Stimson. Separate owners. (Stimson guy that I have been emailing is on point with his emails, even on a Sunday!)

Google shows a log home building co. (I think) out of Montana.  Perhaps that is their source of logs.  I would try them first.  They may be able to point you in the right direction if they are not the owners.

On my GPS maps Gallatin land is the same exact land as Hancock. Maybe it's a subsidiary of Hancock. It's all over my area.

Gallatin Timber Co is all Hancock land.  It has to do with original landowners, etc.
