460 S&W?
-
yes You can apparently shoot 45 colt, 454 Casull and of course 460, in that 20 in barrel "Kathdan" carbine ( I spelled it wrong) if it shot 410 too, would be a great camp/truck gun.

I don't even think the cylinder would be long enough to even hold a .410 shell length wise?
-
That in .460 or 45/70 would be a hoot!!!!

They make a .45LC/410 barrel but the .460 barrel won't shoot 410's

:yeah:

Biggerhammer, TC's do not have cylinders. Single shot.

:) I believe you, but do you know why? base diameter is the same on 45/454/460 rim thickness is the same ? I have seen the 45/410 barrels and I found a Taurus Judge in 454 and 410. just thought this was a natural step???? :dunno: thanks I know the pattern would not be the best, if it will even shoot.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, 460 high pressure, much higher than 45colt,,, huge bullet jump if a 410 shell will chamber.
must be it

Yes, you can. I don't know that I'd do it too often though. We tried the 2.5" shells in a 12" Encore barrel that I had in 460 and they fired just fine. The only real issue I have is the plastic fouling that shot shells can leave behind. Firing a full power 460 down a barrel with plastic residue in the rifling has the potential to end poorly!.

I suspect you could just load any of the cases, .460 preferred, with fiber wads and shot, if you really wanted a shot load.
