Title: Weekend on the coast! (Video)
Post by: blacktailcody on January 31, 2015, 05:12:47 PM
Yeah, it's not hunting related....I know. I'm looking for constructive criticism though. I'm young and trying to make a living doing pictures and videos. What would you change? What did you like?

Very cool. Must have been a beautiful day on the beach, what an awesome way to keep it forever.

Cody, very well done.  I am very impressed by what young and ambitious people can do with this new technology (not just the drone, but also the editing).  What a wonderful way to spend time with younger people (your daughter or niece, perhaps?).  Keep at it.

By the way, that ain't no blacktail in your avatar.  ;)

Thank you all! I really appreciate the feedback!
PD, thank you sir! That is actually my little sister. :)
NW-GSP, I am using 3 different cameras. Canon 70D with a 50MM 1.4F Sigma lens, 18-55 kit lense and the 55-250 kit lense. The Quadcoptor is running the GoPro Hero 4 Black and I use my Hero 3 Black for all my other GoPro shots. Eventually, I would like to get a good wide angle L lense for the Canon and a Glidecam but for now I am very happy with what I have. All my editing is done on iMovie. I decided to spend the money I had on equipment instead of editing software. FinalCut Pro is my next step up.
Outdrsguy, thank you! I am 17 and from Sequim/Port Angeles. Sure! The song is Beautiful Times by Owl City.

Wow! Really?

I haven't. I generally hunt a small property right on the water with my bow. It's been very good to me.

Man,what a great video ..... You have talent that is for sure . I liked your star video too. Music is perfect . You should really do nature video (like someone suggested for tourism)  -on the beach ...sunset,crabs,starfish,birds ..... with the aerial effects ...... I can only dream about being able to do something like you did . Keep working on your dream

Outstanding!

I really enjoyed your video and agree with others that it could be a tourism video.

My first questions were - what drone and camera were you using, but I see you've answered those.  You must be very confident to send up nice cameras and lenses aloft like that!

I'm looking forward to your next short film.

Carl
