Scraped out a long weekend last week on the Wynoochee and a new secret river we'll leave unnamed :) . Did well on Thursday fishing with my uncle and a buddy. My uncle had never landed a fish float fishing, took him about 5 minutes to nail his first, and shortly there after, his second. Ended up hooking 8 that day, and landed this great 37" buck, and a handful of other smaller fish.
Friday in the monsoon, we managed an equally good day with a lower landing percentage :'( inlcuding the loss of one of the biggest, hottest hens I've hooked in a LONG time. Its tough when you're in the back of the boat and the fish streaks around the bow and mach 2 and your 6' tall front seater can't get out of the way of your rod slapping him in the face! Saturday was a waste, couple good bowls of chili though to help make it bearable.
Sunday we traveled a ways and floated a new stretch of water and it was amazeballs. Not super productive, but we hooked a handful and saw some new beautiful water. Some of you will recognize the view, if you do, keep your trap shut, this place needs to stay tough to find :)
Most fish were hooked on yarnies and jigs, one on bait, a couple on beads. Good rounded out weekend with buddies.

Nice job!
Next time you're on that secret river, and you see a super puma with black frame...say hi!

Will do Tony!

Very nice. Can't wait to hook my first one of the year. When fishing the Yarnies were you fishing any kind of scent with them? Just started making my own and gonna try them out soon.

I do sometimes, not others. It can definitely make a difference but they fish very well on their own.
