Title: Tekota 300 Question
Post by: bingman on February 03, 2015, 11:38:24 AM
For those of you that own a Tekota, do you use the rod clamp that comes with it? Just wondering if this is necessary, I dont like how it feels when fighting a fish.

I use rod clamps on my bigger reels but I probably would not use it on a 300.  I use it on my 500 and my 700 though.

No..you really don't need it...the only time I would use it is when the reel doesn't seat well with the rod, then it gives you a little better stability when reeling.
