Title: nice Utah bull picture / no story this time
Post by: GotMyTag on February 05, 2015, 02:34:51 PM
Best elk ever in our family.
Would you pass on this bull? It is a 380 class bull. My brother had told the nephews that one is big enough for me. There is some argument if this is the best elk ever taken in our family. But not by me. This is the best bull elk. 380″ bulls are hard to come by. I would love to shoot a bull this wide. The mass is crazy good. You would think it was fed corn its whole life. But this was not a corn fed bull at all. Just a mountain bull. He has it all mass, width, point length. And no points are broke. That is hard to find on a bug bull.

I do not want to sound disrespectful or talking down but I am suspect of this bull being within a 380 class bull.

He's a nice bull, but no way he's 380 I scored him 353 by the pics and I was very generous.

Great bull, love the thirds, swords seem a little shorter than I would expect but the mass is nice top to bottom.  That can be deceiving and make the score higher.

Congrats to the hunter, shooter for sure in my book.

Great bull.  Very nice trophy to the hunter.

As to all the haters, this bull easily weighs #380 so shut up.

I should clarify that this is a great bull and I would love to have a chance to put my tag on him but just don't see him stretching the tape to 380". Regardless, congrats to the hunter

Hope you liked the pict anyway.
But score is not everything.

ANY bull is a trophy.......I don't go by the size of anything, don't care. It's a real beaut in my book.

great bull , 60 inch beams , 62 mass , with a 45 inch spread easy 380 class if he is 20 on the g4s. congrats

What do you know?  :chuckle: It's not like you spent the last year looking at great bulls.

The g4's are what got me, I was trying to judge using the rifle and butt of the rifle as a scale.  The other problem I had and already mentioned was I think there is a ton of mass. It is making the tines look shorter because they are so thick.

It really is a nice bull.

Great looking bull and a good looking gun, too.  Looks like a Remington LSS what caliber is it??
