Anyone else confused why they would remove GMU 342 from the early archery deer season? All of you Selah and E Burg guys are probably just as confused as I am. This is all according to the Rule Change Proposals for the next 3 years so get your comments in to the WDFW before February 24 if you don't like it. There's been more deer in 342 in the last two years then in the last 10 in my opinion.

Did you also notice they are opening 342 for late archery for deer? Sounds like a better hunt anyways

I dont remember an early season there anyway. Maybe i'm wrong but has there been an early season there recently.
-
Ya I think there's been an early archery deer umtanum for quite some time
-
I never really paid attention. I did see the possibility of 336 maybe open for late season deer.
-
It's been open early archery since it went back to general around 2004.

Looks like late archery mule deer starts the Friday before Thanksgiving rather then the day before? Nov. 20-Dec8?
Pretty cool if so. I need all the hunting days I can get.
-
In some areas yes. But those ares where like that this year as well.

Now that I've looked at it it does look really good. Opens the day before Thanksgiving and has two full weekends. I can't really be too bummed out now. I just really like hunting that GMU in September but I guess I'll have to get over it. And killing a big buck in November will help with that
