Man, book your halibut charters now... Everywhere seems to be full up.
-
Awesome! We booked 2 moorage spots at Neah Bay for May 20-24 a few weeks ago. We were betting on the 21/23 being an opener. Good luck out there!
-
I'm booked!!! Good times ahead!
-
We booked the 13- 17th in Neah Bay. See you all up there.

Whos the guy on the forum here that runs a charter out of La Push?
I remember there was a forum member that runs a charter for ings and hali. He had some massive big monsters last year.
Gonna see if I find who it was, may be interested in a frip
If any one remembers, let me know.

That is "Come Get Some" on the forum. His boat is the "Epic." I've fished near him out at the prairie a few times. Seems like a nice boat, his guys were definitely rakin' in the fish.

There is some of us here that are itching and tweaking to get out and fish the opener :chuckle: I'm not sure I'm ready to take my boat that far .....plus my fuel will probably not last to get back . Anyone with decent boat ready to go ?

Is 16' enough?
In all seriousness, I'll be hitting the sound opener.

I was talking about the coast - 30 miles out on the open ocean with possible wind of 25knts .
-
So 16 feet is OK then. :chuckle:
I'm jealous of you charter hounds. Neah Bay is a long run from anywhere, especially from here! Perhaps I'll challenge the Columbia River Bar....
I keep thinking about that hump off Port Townsend. Hmmmm. Blackened Halibut! Good eats!
-
I'm so close, yet so far from the really good halibut fishing, guess I'll just try inside the Sound again.
It's only about 90 miles by water to Neah Bay. :o Now, if I could find someone in Port Angelas with a 19' trailer to load my boat onto and haul to Neah Bay, maybe not so bad... of course I'd need a vehicle as well. :chuckle:
