I'm not all that into semiautos, but that thing is purty.
-
I wouldn't mind having a 10mm.
-
Springfield has been making one for years! ...ok, so Springfield does not have the 10mm or the Aimpoint sight. But not having the name Glock on the slide makes up for that :chuckle:

lol nothing purty or sexy with any Glock except they work :yike: :chuckle:

I don't just want one. I will be buying one.

Nothing sexier than plain stupid reliability.

You should be able to be like police officers across America and hit yourself rather easily :chuckle:

I must be one of them, but do they make them in XXL ?
-
I don't do PLASTIC!

Maybe when actually looking at one in my hands it'll be different but I think it's kind of odd looking.
-
And the Leupold Deltapoint is one of their worst products. 3.5moa dot? When many even cheaper red dots are 2moa. And 7.5moa per click? You've got to be kidding!
I'll pass on the whole thing.
-Steve

There sure are a lot of naysayers in here. I'd pass on the red dot, too. But with 15 Rounds of Buffalo Bore 180 gr. JHC at 1428 fps from a 6" barrel, what's not to love?
http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/10mm.html (http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/10mm.html)
It seems like a great alternative to the old standby .357 Magnum revolver.
http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/357mag.html (http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/357mag.html)
If/when I pick one up, I will be sure to let you know how awful it is.
-
This is for the 1911 lovers who want a very nice, reliable 10mm. I take this on my ATV rides/wolf hunts for bad guys and bad wolves.....
I don't how I got the center picture upside down.................... :sry:
-
Well yes Campmeat. Pretty sweet! I'm seriously considering dropping a 40 Super barrel in my Kimber! But... I have a couple of 44mags... I don't really need to.
40 s&w and 10mm just don't really float my boat. And a Glock? Well, like I said, I don't do plastic.

I like all calibers myself. I have plastic guns and steel guns. As long as they work and look good, I'm OK. That RIA is a pretty nice gun and handles the recoil very well.

For those who must be Tac-ti-cool! :chuckle: :chuckle:

So G20 is a good hiking and general PNW woods gun. But add an inch barrel length, and you wouldn't be seen with it for being thought a mall ninja. You guys kill me.

Can't trash the gloves till you wear them, they issued us the same gloves when I was a CQB team member. There awesome.
-
I only looked at the pic so maybe this will be a stupid question but is this a whole new gun or will the longer slide/barrel etc. work on a Gen4 G20 or vice versa, will the shorter hardware from a G20 work on this G40???

Figures they'd release this now. I bought a Gen 3 last year and I'm (slowly) assembling pieces to drop a 6" slide onto it. I dont care for the "checkering" on the Gen 4's, I dont need the extended controls nor the optic but 6" of 10mm goodness is a wonderful thing!

Haha! 👍 I know a couple members really dig those gloves.
Where do you find the aviators gloves?

Ya that!
Avaitor Nomex are the best CQB gloves I have worn.
Great dexterity and unbeatable hand protection
I still use Blackhawks in black.

I would like to see the pros and cons on a 6 in barrel over a 5 in?
Besides weight, lol
-
I want one.
-
Maybe for a "just because" gun. Better choices for defense from 2 legged animals, better choices for 4 legged animals, imo. As for the off topic gloves, not into looking" Cool" lol! :chuckle:

Pass I'll stick to my XD

He's gunning into the danger zone with those gloves one. :chuckle:

When you shoot 400-500 rounds in a afternoon, any glove helps. Then again most don't shoot that many in a year. ;)

A "standard" G20 is a 4.5 inch barrel. Going with that you gain just shy of two inches of sight radius (not a big deal with optics but makes a difference with irons obviously). Velocity wise you're gaining about 100fps when using the heavier bullets (above 180g).
Maybe not huge gains but a few ounces is worth the gains in my opinion, YMMV.

Exactly why the Springfield XDM 5.25's ROCK! :rockin: Along with the Glock 41's, both pictured above.
-
That thing is a tank if you run out of bullets you can just club something to death :chuckle:

A 500 S&W is a much better choice for that!

Nice chart!

If ya want a semi auto with some punch, build a 460 Rowland.
shoots well with a light compensator. and that 45 cal bullet moves right along
Not a boat anchor like a .50.
-
Now that's a round! Have just a little trigger time behind that caliber ;) it gets into a practical woods defense round imo..
