Two notable features that have me
- RAW file panorama stitching
- HDR creation
While with snoody full frame camera I can usually just underexpose and capture the details in the clouds and recover shadows in the ground, HDR is often the only way around higher contrast scenes. Stiching together RAW files sounds like a hoot, as well. I can live without a lot of the other new features.
If you're considering the purchase of Lightroom 5, might want to hold off. You can get the free 30 day trial of Lightroom 5, and then a free 30 day trial of Lightroom 6 whenever it comes out. Your catalogue and saved edits will carryover automatically. That would give you two months to hunt for sales where the price can drop as low as $50-75. 8)

I though Lightroom 5 and after were subscription base?
I am still using 4

The Creative Cloud. I don't like the idea myself. $10 a month for Lightroom, Photoshop CS6, and the other adobe tools. I like owning and not renting. Plus I don't like using photoshop. Seems as though they chose to continue LR as a standalone product.
Biggest change I saw from 4 to 5 was the clone stamp. Its great for pimply faced people and portraits, as well as cloning out an occasional distracting element from a landscape. Some of the other new features like the radial filter I could live without.

Awesome thanks, I will probably get Lightroom 6 then if it is still stand alone.

Stitching will be nice. I tire of HDR but our low dynamic range Canon cameras need some help with capturing detail.
