I have always been curious on what everyone's opinions are on this. I personally would pick Rocky Mt just because I like their looks better for some reason. What do you say? Or would you even care which?

			-
Rocky is my number one choice of any animal in the world. Love them.

			-
Rocky for sure. They just look more majestic and pure muscle

			-
The two sheep shown are not the same class animal. Take a look at some of the giant dessert rams out there and it's a tougher choice. That being said....dall

Desert is a much harder tag and hunting opportunity.  So if I was allowed to pick one guaranteed it would have to be Desert.  If I had to pick a favorite that would be difficult.  Probably would be Rocky Mtn.  Though I'd rather tag a big Stone than either of those two.  Had to cancel my Stone trip for this year due to all the broadhead supply chain poop.  Not sure when I will have another chance.  But, maybe one of these days :dunno:

I'm with you RadSav.  A good stone sheep hunt would be top pick over pretty much anything else.  Throw a Mt.Caribou, Moose and Goat in for good measure.  Oh yeah, a Grizz too.   Thats's a bummer you had to miss out on your hunt...

				i go rocky

			-
Stone sheep is my favorite then I'd say the Rocky.

			-
Rocky, however if you put up a real mature old desert ram, that is one cool critter to have lived a long life in an environment that they do.

^ this. most of the photos of desert bighorn I've seen are youngins. That led me to believe they don't get big. There are two huge toads at the taxidermist where I had my elk done and all I can say is  :yike:
Shoulda taken a few phone pics  :sry:

Used to be a couple monster rams at the Phoenix zoo. ;)  Last time I was there was 1984...so :dunno:

They translocated some to the Santa Catalina's, Rad. They've made two transplants of 30 from the Yuma area IIRC. You shoulda seen the Pinkotards go bat-crap when game and fish had to sharpshoot several mountain lions.  :chuckle: Lions killed a dozen or more of the sheep  :bash:

			-
				Marco polo for me

			-
				Stone sheep for sure!

			-

Stone sheep is my favorite then I'd say the Rocky.
Stone sheep look the coolest, rocky, desert, then dall

Marco polo for me
Being that you are now living in Montana, we know what kind of sheep you REALLY like!  :chuckle:

Any sheep is a good sheep
My first choice would be a stone. Almost impossible to draw and really expensive to hunt.
I love my dall and hope to go on another sheep hunt before I start using a cane.  :chuckle:

			-
Not picky, would love to hunt any variety of sheep... Except barn yard sheep.

 :yike:Wow, are you going Saturday?

			-
				Żes sir

			-
I have to say my favorite looking NA sheep would be a Stone. You cant find a better hunting adventure than a true BC stone sheep backpack trip! IMO.
I've had the chance to be on several rocky and desert sheep hunts and for me the desert sheep hunts are more of a challenge in some real cool and different environments. I think an old ram is a great trophy no mater what variety or score.

			-
well your gonna see an old one  on Sat.  :chuckle:

			-
I'm looking forward to see all different varieties of Rams Saturday! Winning a desert sheep hunt will just be icing on the cake!

			-
For the guys/gals who won't be at the banquet on Sat, can you guys post some pic's of your different sheep?  I would love to see them myself, thanks.

I'll buy you a cold one!

			-
Sounds good old limp is gonna win me a wsm. ! Lol

			-
A Rocky Mountain would be a dream come true!

			-
So did any H-W members come out victorious at the banquet?

I ended up with a great deal on a youth bull elk hunt , I guess the one kid in the right age bracket that I know is pretty lucky ! they had a fire ring earn 20 k and the moose tag was a steal for 28k...

			-
That lucky kid is still floating about.....

			-
I would take any tag! Lol, but if I had my choice, I would love to hunt Stone Sheep. To me, they are the prettiest of the bunch!  :twocents:

A desert in Nevada or Old Mexico would be a dream come true!
