The coyotes are sure howling up a storm this morning.
I awoke this morning just before 5:00 due to a thump I heard outside. I grabbed a flashlight and .357 to make sure no one was messing around out there. I never really figured out exactly what the noise was...........I'm thinking maybe some snow slid off the roof.
Anyway, while I was outside, I heard a lot of coyotes a couple hundred yards off howling like crazy.
I was wondering.........Why do coyotes howl? Maybe they were chasing a deer?

I hear them every few days or so.

For a long list of reasons. I think at the top of the list, however, is that they just can't contain themselves!
