I just inherited 3 Sage fly rods.
Problem is, I don't fly fish.
I don't know the exact age, but understand these are very nice rods and are in very nice condition.
Any input would be helpful, and thank you.
VPS 9140-4 14' 9 wt 4 piece Spey rod with original plastic case. Used twice.
GFL 996 RP Graphite II 9'-6" 9wt 2 piece with original aluminum case. Used many times but still in great shape.
RPL 896 Grapite III B Fetha Styx 9'-6" 8wt 2 piece aluminum case. Never used.

If the 3rd one is a Featha Styx, that is a different manufacturer. Not Sage.

You could do an EBay search and see what similar rods are going for.

Those a high end rods (all Sages are, pretty much). Wouldn't surprise if both Sages were north of $200 or so, depending on condition.

The spey rod in particular. Here's a link I found VPS 9140-4  (http://VPS 9140-4)

Sold for $173.50 plus shipping last week. Sounds like it was used a lot more than yours.

Here is a pic.
Fetha Styx logo on top, Sage on bottom.
I've been doing the Google, eBay, Amazon, CL searches for a week without much success.
Thanks for the reply.

OK- IIRC Fethastyx used blanks from Rainshadow, but for some of their higher-end rods used some Loomis and Sage. So yes, it is a Sage.

As far as what they are worth you could post on some fly fishing websites for better info. Using the EBay example as a baseline I'd say the spey is 200 plus for sure. If you do a search type in Sage and mod. #  GFL 996 RP for ex. Sould be something out there on them.
