I just received all my parts for my first AR build. I was suppose to build with someone who knew what they were doing and has all the tools to build an Ar. Well things didn't work out and now I'm stuck. I have read plenty of articles and watched many video's. I'm sure I could put it together but was wondering if anyone wants to help a newbie with their first build so I don't have to buy all the punches and gauges. I live in lynnwood and was hoping someone in the north sound would be wiling to help out? I think it would be a great thread and i could take pictures step by step to help out the other newbs. If anyone has a half day to help a hunt wa member it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Carl

You are a little out of my travel circle, though I might be down to Everett next week. I do have jigs, punches and a wrench as well as a split ring pliers that I would be willing to loan out if you cover shipping costs to you, I can probably meet you some time to pick them up. I don't have go, no-go gauges though.
Midwayusa has a lot of great videos on AR builds.

I might be able to help but my schedule is pretty messed up at the moment. I've never done one but I've got some of the tools that it sounds like would be needed. I have oring pliers, pin punches, gun screwdrivers & a vise. I don't have 'the special tool' tho
I'm stanwood/camano area

If you were closer Carl I would be more then happy to show you the ropes. Goldendale is a bit of a drive for you.

There are a couple of good you tube videos out here that were helpful when I did my first one.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I might have to take you up on that offer Loki. It gets expensive buying all the tools and such.
