Title: Looking For a Good Hunting Dog
Post by: lostbackpacker on March 21, 2015, 07:47:40 PM: Our dog recently passed away, and we are in search for a new dog. Preferably a puppy or a young dog. We are interested in Vizlas and German Shorthair Pointers. But we are open to suggestions. If you have one or know where to get one shoot me a pm.

Post by: Linder on March 25, 2015, 11:11:16 AM: Not sure of your time frame but I just picked up my shorthair last week. The breeder said they usually have 3-4 litters per year and should have another one before summer.

They love water, point well and have a great temperament. Very mello, not high strung, great with kids, a real family pet and hunting partner. They are a very closed breed not AKC, have their own breed warden and national controls. Check them out...

white/black plated and ticked, some dark/bluish, 55-65# med long hair

Added that breed to my list of considerations for the future. Next home will have room for a dog and this

What do you intend to hunt with it? Or will this be a companion animal only?
