I want to get a spotlight to do some night hunting, but I'm having trouble finding one. I saw one at Cabela's but it was 60 bucks. That's a bit more than I want to spend. What do you guys use and where did you get them?

Cabelas had one on sell for like $6 that was 1million candle power. I know that bimart has one thats was $14 and 2million candle power.
This is a nice light and cheap

I guess I should be more specific. I'm looking for a rechargable. I think I found one on Ebay that would work. It's 2 million but would prefer 1 million. Thanks though.

I got a Cyclop's from Sportman's Warehouse for about $35 (which is a good price considering it's listed online for about $80. . .and that wasn't on sale or anything). . .it's rechargeable and came with a vehicle and house charger as well as a red lens filter. . .it has a locking trigger so that I don't have to hold the trigger down to have it on if I don't want to and it also has two light modes. . .a high and low beam if you will. . .it has been worth every dollar in just general usefulness even if I haven't had any luck with the coyotes with it!!!
It says it's 240 lumens which I have no idea what that would be close to in candlepower and just became more confused when I tried to find out a conversion factor between the two. . .I will say that it is REALLY bright without the red lens on, but the red lens really knocks it down quite a bit, but it's still good out to about 75 yds'ish??? I do wish it was a little brighter with the lens shade on. . .

That's what I'm looking for. I checked our Sportsman's here in Spokane and I didn't see one with a red lens. BTW - Silverdale is my hometown! :)

The one at bimart was recargable and looked very well built. I realy dont like the recargable ones becuase they never seem to last. :dunno: It has been a while since I have used one so hopefully they are better now.

With the one you plug into your truck, did you just sit next to your rig? How did that work out for you?
-
I think it works great because you can stand in your bed and use it. The guy I work with has great success with it and normally gets a few every time he goes out at night. I haven't done it to much but have got a coyote every time. :twocents:

Stream lite, ultra stinger. more than $60.00 BUT it works.

Keep in mind, if your standing in the bed of your truck and shooting yotes or bobcats you'll be cited, it's illegal.

Sorry I should have said that we get out of the truck before we shot. :bash:

I bought 3 of the $6 lights last year, figured its not much to lose :dunno: They turned out to be pretty good and they are rechargable.

I haven't had any problems with running out of battery life while using it. . .I've sat in the dark from 3 AM till the sun comes up for a week straight with it and haven't run out of batteries with the Cyclops that I have. . .

THE BEST light is the brinkman they sell at walmart for 40$ they come with 2 batteries that are removeable. If you buy any other light you wasted your money.
