No the 99 is a .300 Savage. Family gun, I've never fired it. Looking for a vintage tang sight that'll fit it and then I wouldn't mind taking it out after a deer one of these days (a great uncle used it to drop a few elk in his day).

I know Marble makes on for the 99. I was concerned about a new sight not blending in with my Model 94 (1899) but the Marble really looks like it belongs there, and it's amazing how well it works.

Killed my first and second deer with that .300 savage

OK, so it's a day after Thursday.
An old double hammer Buckley shotgun over my mantel. Not a shooter but I thinks it's sort of cool to think about where that old gun has been.

:yeah: Watch Ebay. Surprised at how many original Marble 'S1' tang sights are on there at times. Another thing you'll see are separate parts for the sight--base here, elevator there.

I have a late 1800's muzzy that is pretty awesome. Never attempted to shoot it or anything but it does look cool hung up in the man cave.

I have an old 16ga bolt action I should take a pic of for next Thursday.

I used to have one of those as a kid, Mossberg I think :dunno:, I think my little bro ended up with it. Fun as heck to see how many quail you could get down with the bolt action!!!

Now you are making me go dig it out. :chuckle: I haven't ever shot this thing. Something I bought years ago for 40 bucks I think. A guy I worked with was in a hurt for cash. I want to say this is a Sears version.
