Title: Yote hunting in Snohomish County
Post by: jeepasaurusrex on January 01, 2009, 06:45:14 PM: I havent been yote hunting since I was in high school. Anyone going yote hunting in Snohomish County soon and need a partner?

I have been playing around in the sultan basin area and there are some clearings up there that I would expect a yote to be running around. Have AR, will hunt. Shoot me a pm or something when you are in the mood and we can try and hook up. I've got a few calls but haven't done much myself.

I was thinking the same thing.

And it's in Marysville, very close to home. Would really like to try some coon or yote prospecting out there.

I don't know how the Coyote/Bobcat population is but I know the bear hunting is :tup: I may bike in this week to check it out more thoroughly. Also to scout for spring bear just in case I get drawn. I Google Earthed it and it looks goooood.

Post by: Buckmark on February 18, 2011, 09:31:21 AM: Saw a really nice yote at the strawberry fields dog park a few weeks back, jumped it out of the blackberry patches along the eastside of the propertry, made a quick squeak with my hand and stopped it, love the coats this time of year, not an area you can hunt, but they dont get much closer to my house than that.

What make this particular specimen interesting is his obvious fierce snarl when realizing his picture was being taken. If the snarl was not enough to scare off other predators in the area his 13 + 1 XD .45acp with 230gr Winchester Black Talong HPs would be sure to deter.

They're not too bad but the next day might be pushing it just a little from my experience. Best to lay low for the weekend would be my bet.

I'd like to hit Razzles, not sure the Fri-Sun works for me but I'll watch for the confirmed time. It's right around the lake for me.
