Title: Grizz Precision Cerakote services
Post by: jay.sharkbait on March 28, 2015, 10:26:23 AM
I'm now working with Grizz Precision in Rainier Wa.

We are just finishing up our paint booth and are now taking in new projects. Our turnaround time is less than two weeks.

Please check out our website www.grizzprecision.com (http://www.grizzprecision.com) and facebook  https://www.facebook.com/GrizzPrecision (https://www.facebook.com/GrizzPrecision) for pictures and updates.

Hmmmm  I think I recognize those parts in the booth...LOL
Grizz Precision did a first class job cerakoting a set of parts just like the ones pictured above for me.  The turn around time is excellent and the price was very good.
Give 'em a call and thanks again for the excellent job.

Can composite parts like stocks or Magpul handguards be ceracoated or does it have to be metal?

We sure can!

do you offer any type of warranty with the work?

Yes, a lifetime guarantee against chipping, cracking and peeling provided the firearm has seen normal use.

All flatted' out looks sharp!  What's a 1911 job like that go for, if it's OK to ask here openly? Or PM me?  Single color as well as how much extra for separate color for controls etc. and how much for mags. (1911)?

Thanks, Beau

Beau

200.00 for the re-finish and 15.00/ea on mags.

We also cut the slide for new sights so that would be extra....

Thanks for the interest!

Hey Karl.

We are still 1-2 weeks out once we have everything in hand. I can strip the rifle down for a nominal fee.

Coating a Bolt action rifle is 200.00 not including the stock. We do the barrel and rec'r, bolt, shroud and bottom metal.

Thanks for the interest.

May be a dumb question here but. . . Does cerakoting a barrel change the harmonics of it? e.g. if I develop a load without the coating, then have it coated, am I risking my load changing on me?

mind. blown.

I would think it has to change the harmonics. Blasting, coating and curing would have to change it a minute amount. That said I doubt it would be enough to be noticeable.

Heck, it might make the rifle shoot better.  :chuckle:
