Just heard a rumor today bout it. Going with weyco rules too
-
Columbia Timberlands (the old Longview Fibre) got bought out by Weyco so I was surprised they didn't go permit last year with the rest of Weyco. Just a matter of bookwork and clearing title, I imagine.

If this is where I think it is it was a matter of time. Had friends who were setting up camp last year and the company truck drove up. Announced that Weyco had just purchased the land and although it wasn't gated or posted yet, it was day use only. They would not allow them to set up camp (a really big tent camp at that, quite the muscle movement). Anyway, we all figured it was coming sooner rather than later. I haevn't been down yet to look around, probalby will find some new gates I guess....... :bash: :bash:

Unfortunately a sign of the times,,,, pay at the door or no entry :yike:

Someone recently was claiming the Weyco permit wasn't about money, and then gave the example that the Weyco. permit was only raised $10 from last year (now $160) but, with the Columbia Timberlands portion which is scattered among the St. Helens Tree Farm edges you need a new separate $200 permit to hunt a lot less land
So to hunt Weyco in Cowlitz county for example, that's $360.
Tell me again how this is all about garbage dumping and not about money?
