Title: mazatlan swordfish
Post by: Seatown5 on March 29, 2015, 08:17:04 PM
Caught these last week. Great trip out. Six guys, three fish landed. Three lost. Seven foot 65 pound sailfish and eight foot hundred pound marlin. Also a small five foot sailfish. Caught that one as a double while I was catching mine.

Nice going.  Great day on the water!  Not many things better than baking your butt in the hot sun while you cut circles in the water hoping for a strike.  Man, I love fishing in the tropics.

It was all top water fishing. Not sure what depth the water was. Wade, wife stayed on shore with the kids. The marlin was incredible. There were 91 of us in Mexico for a wedding and it fed fifty of us. The sailfish was decent but not as good as the marlin. The coolest part was hunting the fish. we would see a sail in the distance or a jumper, the captain would throttle down, drag our baits over said spot and wham I. Fish on.
