I have the points this year I am getting way to excited to see the results. They say "by the end of April" its gonna be a long month for me if its not till the end of the month haha.
-
I was excited about the multi-season elk but at the last minute I chickened out and submitted my application for the point option. Just decided I wasn't ready to use up my points quite yet, not to mention spending the extra $180. I really want to draw it next year, since muzzleloader will begin on October 1st instead of the 3rd like it is this year. Hopefully with 6 points next year I'll have decent odds.

I'm just in for points, probably next year I'll try to pull the tag with the better MZ dates. With all my points I should be a shoe in next year.

same situation Bobcat. my hunting partners are all active duty mil and one will be retiring from spring '16 and I didn't want to get drawn and have to go it alone this fall....

Give me your points Birddog... just walk them down to the 22Q and I'll take a shot with them, burned mine up last year not to mention the Timber companies are moving in on us.

I'm in with 5 points. Hopefully draw this year. Will apply for eastern bull and quality rifle tags and hunt west side muzzleloader if I don't get a permit.

haha! I will soon burn them myself~ one very interesting thing that I am hoping to start is a grandbaby OIL Ram tag! Maybe I will be around to see the fruits.

I put in for the multi season deer and after living in Washington my whole life I now live in Oregon but my back yard is actually Washington well across the river anyway. My application fee was 110.00 . but its cheaper than gas if i have to go find another productive hunting spot

The results will come out with the regs guys, relax you can't go hunting yet any way

This is the one draw i dont really care about much.

Here's hoping I don't get drawn with 6 points. They wouldn't let me convert to points only option. :bash:

it took me 6 points to draw last time, I would say you are going to draw ! I love this draw, I'd buy multi elk every year if it was over the counter, hell I'd even pay more for it.
-
this year would be a great one to draw elk. I hope my 5 points will get off there butts and get drawn this year

Not sure what that means. Did you apply for the permit and then ask to switch to points option?

You might get "lucky" and not draw. From looking at last year's numbers, your odds of drawing with 6 points is about 33%.

Exactly what happened. And due to a misunderstanding when I called 2-3 weeks ago, they told me to wait. I waited and then was told it was too late. I am getting into archery, but not sure this the ear I want to cash in on the multi tag. Maybe my good luck streak will go my way :dunno:

What day did they draw last April? :dunno:

This is great stuff ,but the only thing it does for me is tell me how much I don't know about the weirdest point system I can remember. Can anyone point me in the direction of some understanding please.I have 6 points but really don't know how to play my hand,i bow hunt for elk this multi tag is very encouraging ,any help is much appreciated.

I've got 12 points for elk and didn't get drawn last year.....

12 points for multi-season elk? How is that possible? Last year 9 points would be the most anyone could have, since 2006 was the first year of the multi-season tags.

He must mean regular points :dunno: :chuckle: My buddy and his dad have over 18 pts for elk and moose ...wonder if this is their lucky year :dunno: I sure wish a local would draw a tag around here because lately it has been all outsiders :bash: :dunno:

You have decent odds with 6 points- probably about 20%. Do you have a muzzleloader or do you plan on using your bow during muzzleloader season, if drawn? What about rifle season? Are you ready and able to hunt that as well? If you're going to spend the extra $180 on the multi season tag, you should definitely plan on hunting all the seasons.

Picked up my new bow on Wednesday. Glad I only had to buy the accessories :yike: Then get the MS results successful for elk! Bought and paid before spent any time thinking about it. Started practicing yesterday between getting trailer ready for spring bear opener in 166 and fishing with granddaughter today. How much better can life get? Keep it up, I may be forced into retirement. :dunno:

OH YA !! Ghost hunter you head shot that turkey, not enough time in a day ,to get ready for turkey season ,fishing , and camping. Then theres the sress of the draw and raffles decision making ,doesn't leave much time for sleep or work, wich by the way I feel one of the two or both are highly over rated. But it is good to hear someone has gotten away from the missle launcher crusade , makes the woods that much safer in my life threatened look at things.Any ways wecome to real hunting ,I mean the up close and personal type of hunting ,its great stuff, practice practice ,I would keep going with the practice thing but I don't wont to wake the punctuality police, best of luck with the bow hunting, gad to hear it .
