I'm overhauling a Mossberg 500 12gauge for a Midwest hunt later in the year. One thing I'm considering is replacing the cheap plastic stock. I don't need carbon fiber or anything tacticool, just a reliable hunting stock that feels better than hollow plastic.
Anyone have experience with the Hogue stocks? Are they much of an upgrade from the original Mossberg plastic?

I've heard the Hogue over molds are really nice and sticky, probly what you would be looking for for hunting. I also like Magpul but that might not be what your looking for if you want to get away from the plastic feel.
