Subject: RE: Gill nets on Lake Sammamish?
I have heard that the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe (MIT) are surveying for walleye in Lake Sammamish, as this non-native fish has recently been found in Lake Washington (quite a few large fish were found, getting ready to spawn). MIT found walleye near the mouth of Issaquah creek a day or two ago and so are increasing their efforts in order to determine the severity of the problem.
This is a very serious problem, as walleye will prey on kokanee, sockeye, Chinook, etc…..
That’s about all I know at the moment.

So don't have to the eastside of the state anymore.

I guess I know what I'm doing Saturday morning. Dragging some gear off the mouth of Issaquah creek! :chuckle:

Also heard the lake will not open for kings this year.

Probably nothing left after the Muckleshoot got done dragging the lake
