Title: Now What?
Post by: andrew_in_idaho on April 26, 2015, 08:59:00 PM
I bumped a gorgeous cinnamon phase bear from what all sign points to being a very comfortable home this past weekend. Will bears usually return to a comfortable place or will this particular bear find a new home? If the bear is likely to return how long should I wait before going back in?

I assume you were in idaho by your previous posts amd location. If so start a bait in his bedroom and see what he does.

I would do that but it's a 2 hr drive up there and I have a job and a wife who isn't quite tired of me yet. Although she did faseciously tell me to go back to my mountain tonight

Slip in and predator call, very deadly tactic that has worked well for me.  Also if you can put a bait out, even if you can't properly tend it you can go in and call and likely a bear will not be too far.  Has worked for me.
