Title: how is it determined what proposal for the 15, 16 and 17 season are adopted?
Post by: floatinghat on April 30, 2015, 06:21:05 PM

Looking through the proposals, I see some that were adopted and other that appear to have been rejected.  ie 627 was lost to late muzzy, which is a surprise because much of the unit is restricted.  Some of the proposed changes in archery elk did not, 602...612 remain open, when they were proposed for closure. Curious about the process more than anything else.

460, 466, 506, 510, 513,
516, 524, 530, 601((, 602,
603, 607, 612)) through
618, 627, 633, 638 (except

Area 6064), 642 through
((648,)) 651, 658, 663((.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Pretty much everything that was in the proposals for the 2015-2017 seasons was adopted by the Fish & Wildlife Commission. What you see in the proposals is the same as what you see in the final regulations.

You seem to be reading it wrong, because 627 was not "lost," as it was not open for late muzzleloader elk in 2014.

Also, 602 and 612 were never proposed to be eliminated from the 2015-2017. What changed was instead of listing all the units between 601 and 618 like they did in last year's reg's, this year they simply put 601-618.

Bob,

Read them as propose to close.  The copy paste doesn't indicate the is a strike out which I believe is closure?

http://wdfw.wa.gov/about/regulations/2015/wsr_15-04-098.pdf  on page 40 for Elk and 32 for the 627 closing?
