Well folks we finally received the photos of the now done New Chuckler Bugle, this is what it's supposed to look like! (grin) As you can see it's one of a kind with a nice deep inside corrugation to slow sound down just a tad to help produce lower guttural tones. The wall thickness is just under 1/8" -- That is amazingly thick!! This will help produce very loud Bugles if so desired or use less air flow & tame it down producing great small bull sounds as well.
Notice the two flat spots going around the bugle, this is where the tone dampeners will fit securely on outside of camo sleeve. The Logo Patch will fit between the two silicone dampeners for a nice look. The mouth-piece is rounded for a non-sharp edge & at 1-1/4" opening is very nice in size for use with any mouth reeds.
The camo sleeve shown is not the one that will be on it, ours is a sleeve that is all Bulls & Cows in their natural colors, very cool! We are expecting them at the end of the month or very close to it. Just a heads up for all you here who have put in your Pre-Orders, thanks!

Really cool!

If I order today, when could I expect it?
-
Thanks!
The Bugle as you can see is complete, the sleeve & logo are being taken care of this week then we inspect it to see if there are any changes needed. Once I approve they will start shipping to us, we are looking at 1st week of June for them to arrive. The Special Pre-Order price will end at the end of this month along with the free shipping. Thanks!

Great looking trube, I've been making my own for years but this sure looks like one I could just grab and go with. It's kinda hard to tell from the picture but what's the diameter on the tube? Looks like maybe 4"?
-
Yes, it's definitely got that cool factor! (grin) It will be a very nice sounding bugle to boot! The diameter is 3-1/4" it's my favorite size of all the bugles I've made over the years, I feel a 4" is a bit much & overkill, it's not necessary in the elkwoods. 4" will work but a bit bulkier than most hunters want to tote. This one will do the trick as you will see when I demo it on its arrival. Thanks.

If you were going to but a couple reeds to go with this bugle, which ones would you recommend?
-
Phelps or bugling bull are both great calls
-
Looks great!!
Any packages you will offer during this pre-order phase? I was thinking about a package but would like to get "the new hotness" if possible...
-
Phelps or bugling bull are both great calls
I have the phelps signature bull, but want to pick up two more
-
There are no Package deals with the New Chuckler coming out. However, we will have a different assortment of Packages available once the New Bugle does arrive. At present Pre-Ordering the New Bugle is ones best bet for a great price with free shipping! We will end this offer shortly, thanks!
As far as what reeds would be very good it's hard to beat the Raging Bull & Challenge elk calls for great bull sounds. I'm really liking the New Mistress as well & actually feel it tops both of those reeds. It's the one Cory won with this year, great call. I have them here but haven't added them to the store yet. If interested let me know & I'll hook you up! Thanks!

Order placed. Can't wait!

Looking forward to my package arriving
-
What is the mouth diameter? I know Rocky's call initially was really small. I think he opened it up last year. I am wondering what the call's mouth dimensions?
-
What is the mouth diameter?
1 1/4" per the website.

Any updates on getting one in my grubby hands..? :chuckle:

-
I dig the sleeve on it! But a little impartial about the way the lanyard is attached
-
Tracking sais my new Chuckler was delivered to my rural address today. Will be breaking it in tonight :)
-
Mine showed up at work today, can't wait to get it home and try it out! Oh boy is my wife going to be stoked :chuckle: :chuckle: Really though, great looking item! Thanks!
-
Thanks guys. So far it's done very well & yes the bugle is a definite winner! I'm very impressed with its unique sound. It has a different tone than any bugle i have here, I really like it a lot!
If the lanyard in the mouthpiece bothers you untie it & put a hangmans noose or slip not on it around the neck about 2" down from mouthpiece, it will take about one minute, walla! There's a generous amount of lanyard there to do so. Thanks!

Paul, do you have any recorded sounds with it yet that we can hear?
-
No I do not sir! I will, just have been swamped in these parts but plan on getting a clip together. Thanks for asking!

Made some time to give the new tube it's day in court tonight out in the shop. Sitting by a fan in 94 degree weather, making elk noises, it doesn't get any better than that! Really liking the new tube and gotta say, I think this new tool in my elk kit will reach out farther than any other tube I've owned. I intentionally tried to make as many various bull noises as I could muster up to see how they'd resonate thru the new chuckler and I think this tube is definitely up to the mark! RJ
-
Rory, you have my vote! That was pretty darned good sir, I don't care what Bugle you're using!
