Title: Sierra Varminter Bullets

Well i bought some 85 grain Sierra Varminter bullets in .243 to do some plinking with and want to know if anyone has used them on a coyote before. How do they work?

Post by: demontang on January 05, 2009, 08:39:21 PM: I'm try to put one down with a 40gr varminter in my .223 but haven't done it yet. I know they sure group nice but I don't know about effect on an animal yet. :dunno:

Post by: dbllunger on January 05, 2009, 08:48:28 PM: Used them and they work fine. Blows holes in them on way out. Full pass throughs all the time. For me in 6mm it is a FMJ for dogs if I want the hide. If not shoot em. I have shot quite a few with the 55 Ballistic Tips at 4K with no exit and average entrance. Every now and then on edge shots it blows a lot of hide away.
