As I understand it Washington Waterfowl Association has the rights to the State Duck Calling contest. There have been 2 locations mentioned , Monroe and Skagit, perhaps they are the same place, I'm a drysider. Rone Brewer of the WWA might have additional details as to time and place.

Talked to Rone the other day sounds like it is 1 mile out of monroe near a gun club.. going down highway 2..not sure of the exact times but looking at past times they started around 8am.

Rone is the man to talk to. rbrewer@soundeco.net

It'll be July 18th on Pat Murphys training ground (The old Diamond M farm) in conjunction with a duck dog challenge put on by the Cascade HRC club that meets there.

I've helped him a bit with contacting sponsors and such, they will need help with judging various contests, so if there are any pro staffers out there or folks with outfits that would like to be involved send him an e-mail. I believe it will be $50 to have a table at the event for sponsors, with the possibility of setting product in a pond or field for some real world show and tell. Anyone interested in a more detailed sponsor of a specific event is welcomed to ask about that as well.I also believe camping will be allowed for a small fee from Friday night into mid day Sunday.

It should be a great event this year with a nice setting.

If you're speaking about the Washington event I sent you some PM's (on refuge forum) and an e-mail about this quite awhile ago.

Though the e-mail was quite wordy as it had a lot of information, the date was listed in the first paragraph.

Even if it wasn't, you could have sent someone a PM, call, or e-mail a long time ago. I'm not sure what you think there is to gain by complaining publicly about folks that volunteer to benefit the waterfowling community at large and your personal business, but carry on
