Title: Poll - Moose Points
Post by: bobcat on May 29, 2015, 09:31:21 AM: Since we've got a poll going for how many deer and elk points people have, I thought we needed one for moose too. I have 19 because somehow I missed one year. I hope to be down to zero in a couple weeks. :tup:

I got 1st alternate 1 time in the same unit my dad drew & only 2 tags there then. was hopinng the other tag holder wouldn't buy his tag.

I can't imagine getting in the game now and starting out at 1 point. I'd feel like impossible odds of drawing just starting out.

After I got my moose, I was talking to a neighbor of the person who owned the cabin we were staying in. He said that the year before, he ran into a woman who had just shot a moose. He asked her how many years she had put in. She casually replied, "Oh, this was the first year I applied," like it was no big deal. :bash:

I ran into a woman on my moose hunt in 08 that had drawn her first year as well. :o

Does the confusion lie in counting this years application as a point? If you had points from 1996 through 2014 that would be 19 and 2015's chance makes 20. Am I right?

I drew last year with 15. Drew my last choice if that wasn't luck!
