what is everyone using? went there last nite only a couple hits on shrimp (plunking) what color spin n glow? water temp seemed fairly warm lures any good
-
I'm not sure about plunking from shore but on anchor when the water warms up we switch to hardware like spinners and wobblers. These lures anger fish in to biting and are not reliant on bait/scent. If you had some bites on SNG/shrimp that doesn't sound too bad.

Did you happen to sneak a peek as to what other folks were using? Especially the guy that limited.

Run a wrapped quickfish down your line when plunking. Just make sure you have the weight to hold it in place.

looked like the same set up as we had but a green spin n glow, so ill get some today before we go

Seems the color of the Spin N Glow is important from folks I've talked to. How much lead to hold in the current did you use?

This seems to be a successful rig.

This is how I rig mine. I do use swivels & 14 oz weight. I run them out with the boat and set them based on the bottom contour that I like. We don't cast these at all.

They are hitting the bait.. the color is not important. .

Spin n glow and coon shrimp

What would be your top three bait choices for this plunking set up? If you don't mind sharing. Thanks.

Tuna Ball, coon stripe shrimp, eggs, or whole herring. In that order

I could not imagine not using swivels like he said in the video, I would end up with a twisted up mess.

salmon- tuna/sardine ball salmon/steeelhead- cured artic prawn... when you have bait with the SNG they dont even see the SNG.. think about that. they are coming up from behind it.. the SNG floats the bait off the bottom and add a bit of attractant with the wings. I catch more fish in my boat on a naked prawn then I do with a SNG.
