Title: Water transfer rifle coatings
Post by: WoodlandShooter on June 04, 2015, 07:56:56 AM
anyone use the water transfer process to coat rifle parts? I see some really cool stuff out there. Kinda thinking of coating the 338 with Woody Marpat, A-Tacs FG or some other woodland cammo.

My advice is that whatever tub you get that you are sure is big enough, put it back and get a bigger one.

I have done a few parts and 1 full rifle stock.

It took some practice.  But turned out great once I got the hang of it.
I can't remember the brand I used.

I built a tub out of sheet metal, the more space the better.
