Rasbo, they are not "waterproof" but water resistant. There are ways to shelter them while calling. I'll try to post a pic in the next few days of how I do it.
I love my Foxpro Scorpian.

Man I want one of those so bad, let us know how you like it. I have been using a 416b and a fx3 and they are great but that controller would be nice to have.
When I use mine in the rain I just have it in a glade lock bag to keep the rain off them. I have seem them get pretty wet and not have a problem but thats alot of money to chance lossing. :twocents:

Killbilly did you right! That case shows excellent workmanship. I am impressed with the perforations that let the sound through. Well done. (And, no, I don't have a need for such a case myself. I am just admiring...)

thats a good looking case if it comes up missing it wasnt me :chuckle:

they have those case's at sportsman warehouse. i have no desire to call in the wind and rain. i ruined a Loudmouth because a guy talked me into using in in pouring down rain with the speaker up. just got two customer's call's turned. now working on killbilly's as soon as it cool's down i'll get out. He made those holes with a soldering iron I believe. Works pretty good. I don't like predator hunting in the rain, but sometimes it catches you off guard and this case keeps it safe.

I'm very happy with the remote fit's great in my hand. everything is quick. i can put the caller behind the house and it will turn on. like all the function's. will know more soon. Rick

Do those things ever freeze up? I ask because the other day we went out and the one we used (it was not a FoxPro by brand) froze up in the cold after about 15 mins.
-
Ray, I have the FX3 and had it out last weekend when it was 27 degrees and mine worked just fine. In fact, the remote worked from about 300 yards away and over a hill (was just testing it).
-
no there isnt any moving part's. is what i was told. there used alot in alaska. Rick
-
wow I looked up the price of the fury..better not freeze up,I might have to draw up a prenup in case we split up :yike:
-
i sold a bunch of call's to get it. it's worth it. predator calling is my life. i like Foxpro's you get what you pay for.. Rick

I believe you..its on my wish list .I started calling in se Idaho,an old guy got me going..Im really into close, some folks would complain about the cold, when it was 20 degrees to well below zero I would get stoked.I had a huge area to hunt, plus every farmer and rancher wanted ya there..I miss that.In the early eighties the pelts went for decent money, average dog 45 to 50and good ones 90 to 100,for a weekend warrior that was serious money in idaho

Great looking setup Rick. Hope you kill a bunch with it.
