For all the Obama lovers who elected the tyrant and said he would never go after our guns and constitutional rights:
LEGAL & LEGISLATION NEWS
Stop Obama's Planned Gag Order on Firearm-Related Speech
It's happening again— President Obama is using his imperial pen and telephone to curb your rights and bypass Congress through executive action. Even as news reports have been highlighting the gun control provisions of the Administration's "Unified Agenda" of regulatory objectives (see accompanying story), the Obama State Department has been quietly moving ahead with a proposal that could censor online speech related to firearms. This latest regulatory assault, published in the June 3 issue of the Federal Register, is as much an affront to the First Amendment as it is to the Second. Your action is urgently needed to ensure that online blogs, videos, and web forums devoted to the technical aspects of firearms and ammunition do not become subject to prior review by State Department bureaucrats before they can be published.
With the new proposal published on June 3, the State Department claims to be "clarifying" the rules concerning "technical data" posted online or otherwise "released" into the "public domain." To the contrary, however, the proposal would institute a massive new prior restraint on free speech. This is because all such releases would require the "authorization" of the government before they occurred. The cumbersome and time-consuming process of obtaining such authorizations, moreover, would make online communication about certain technical aspects of firearms and ammunition essentially impossible.

This is crazy, what a turd.
-
So under his proposal reloading data would be censored because it details manufacture of ammo. :puke:
What a slime!

Wow! Time to download Hogdons entire web site.

ITAR is a nightmare.
Eventually it will be used to regulate anything that could possibly be used on a rifle, aircraft, boat etc.
Nuts and bolts, paint, you name it

I would guess it would apply to the entertainment industry (movies) quite a bit. Any scene showing firearm/weapon operation or military tactic would have to be approved by the 'state'. Lose quite a fortune for all those film studios/actors. You'd think even the hollyweirders would be making noise about this.

All this from the folks giving MANPADS to terrorists.

He's trying to take away all of our rights; the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 10th - There's not a whole lot left when you get done with those. And Sec. State Kerry was a sailor. What the heck is he thinking about all this?
What's interesting to me is that this is going through State instead of Justice. The only time State has anything to do with American citizens is usually when they're overseas. Almost never does it have to do with anything going on inside the US. There's some reason he's doing it this way. I haven't quite figured it out yet.

It's international is why State is concerned. If there was a separate internet that could only be accessed in the US and only by citizens, I don't think it would apply. Then he'd put DOJ/DHS on it instead of State.

I think it's outside of their jurisdiction. If Anything then, it should be the FCC. Regardless, it's unbelievable that he thinks he'll get away with it.

I take it you haven't read the article... :chuckle:
It's about limiting YOUR freedom of speech to talk about the technicalities of weapons and ammunition, not a speech Obama gave and doesn't want repeated.
