I had a Reconyx camera stolen in mid 2013. I had registered the warranty with Reconyx and contacted them to let them know of the theft. I also filed a police report.
Fast forward TWO YEARS later, and I get an email from Reconyx to let me know that someone bought my camera from a pawn shop in Spokane. That individual tried to send it in for warranty repair, and Reconyx found that it was my stolen camera by serial number. Despite weird Washington laws that protect pawn shops, Spokane Police department was able to seize the camera and get it returned to me.
Despite the thief opening the camera to attempt to wash the access code and voiding the warranty, Reconyx decided to fix and return my camera for FREE. They even sent me a prepaid packing slip.
Reconyx cameras are not only the finest trail cameras in the world, but they also have the best customer service in the industry.
Much respect and thanks to Thomas Mlsna at Reconyx in Wisconsin and also to Lt. Dan Mcabe at Spokane Police Department.
