I drew that hunt in '05 and shot a spike. That's why I wonder why people always refer to those eastside tags as "big bull" tags. You know you can kill a spike too, right? :chuckle:
-
Yes. Had the bull tag in 2010 got a decent 6x6.
-
don't let anyone discourage you about that tag. it's a very good tag. in my opinion it's the fourth best tag in Washington State east and west including...not including those modern firearm tags that take place in September them r ridiculously good. I predict u will harvest a 300+if u spend over 9 days hunting and put at least 2 cams out b4 and during ur hunt...watch.

Very good tag to have, you will see a lot of action. Congrats

That is a great tag! Do not settle for a rag bull, there are some studs in there!! Scout scout scout.. Let me fill my archery tag, then I can give you some ideas of where to go....

Thanks rt. I'm going over next weekend to start scout the area.

Go deep and steep. Doesn't have to be too steep though. Best bulls in the 346 are being shot deep into the Norse Peak this year. It has been hit and miss and not so good of a year for bulls being killed as in years past according to a knowledgeable source I talked to on tuesday afternoon.

friend of mine killed one that may go 390 or bigger ... I know I should not do this but its a hog ...He is not one for computer attention ...maybe I see if he will let me ...its one u should see ..

Just curious, how this turned out? did I miss the story?
-
We hunted the whole season there had a blast but didn't fill are tags . I miss 2 bulls during the hunt . Had hang fires with the muzzle loader both shots. Ended up seeing 13 bulls during the hunt. Was beautiful country and great hunt just couldn't make it happen.

I'm new to muzzleloading and have shot about 20 shots ever, all of them this year between the range and one shot on a blacktail buck I got but haven't experienced any misfires yet. What is a hang fire? And what do you think caused it? I'm putting about 6 grains of 4f black powder down before my pyrodex pellets as a primer and using RWS German Musket caps in a Vortek strikerfire northwest. Thanks for the help!
